Goodnight banana
This one escalated. Started as a song about not being able to sleep, ended with a fern named Steve and a banana wearing a mustache. The bridge is just a deadpan inventory of the damage: the fern, the banana, the possibly psychic cat, the missing sock. The whispered outro — “goodnight Steve, goodnight banana” — was the only way it could end.
